I stayed here for a few nights in 2004 and I thought it was quite over-rated. The lobby is very grand indeed, but the rooms weren't that special and the gym was pretty poky and had views onto concrete walls! My wife and I have stayed at the Waldorf many times, both in the main hotel and in the Towers section, which has a separate lobby, faster check-in and -out, and more personal service. i visited the waldorf with my girlfriend and her family (mother, father, sister) for the fact there was 5 of us, we decided to book one room, with a promise from the hotel they would be able to give us a fold out or camper bed.
