WE LOVE WC

Our family went to WC for our first visit in October 1997, and have returned EVERY October since. It was our parents 50th wedding anniversary during our 1st visit & this year (2005) is their 58th. Great Getaway

Stayed here for 4 days, would've stayed longer except plans changed and had to leave early. During memorial day weekend, there were a lot of loud children there that made meals somewhat disruptive, but otherwise was a great stay. I left early

I recently stayed at the Winter Clove Inn, and was scheduled to stay for three nights, but I was ready to leave (and did) after only one night. Past it's peak

I imagine Winter Clove was a lovely Inn years ago but it's clearly in decline. The owners haven't wasted money on renovations or quality food. Some examples, the swimming pool changing rooms are absolutely grotty with holes in the ceiling and water dripping down. The bowling alley is fun but the ...
