The grounds of the 26-year-old inn border Great Smoky Mountains National Park, to which guests enjoy private access. Protected by a driveway with twists and turns more than 2 miles in length, this place, with its privacy and intimacy, is romantically intriguing. The main lodge, composed of century-old hand-hewn logs, has a tiny reception area, a cozy room with seating around a large ... more on professionaltravelguide.com

Very Disappointed for the Price
Just spent the last week in the Asheville area. The first 5 days stayed in a wonderful B&B. The last 2 days stayed at the Swag. 1.Check-in - Arrived at the property at a little after 3. The room was not ready which was fine. We walked around for the 1/2 hour. At dinner I spoke to a couple that arrived after us and it took them hour to get into their room. I spoke to another couple who checked in on the same day and they had the same experience. 2. Room - Nice, rustic, had coffee, robes, radio. No TV. It had a steam shower which was very nice after hiking all day. The one issue: the day we checked in my husband went to wash his face before dinner and dried his face on a towel that was wet. He asked if ... TravelNow75, a user of Tripadvisor. Read full review on tripadvisor

Wine hour was fun, meeting new folks and enjoying wonderful appetizers. Dinner was wonderful. We had a private table for two one night and sat at a larger table for 8 the other night. Food was ... Good for extroverts or the lonely
We stayed here a few yrs ago in the summer. My husband really liked it but I wasn't totally thrilled. Dislikes: bad bug problem- lots of pesky no-seeums- not exactly chiggers- I don't know what they were but my ankles were covered in bites even though I applied bug repellant religiously. An autumn ... a user of Tripadvisor. Read full review on tripadvisor
