Bad experience

Our family checked into the Best Western at about midnight after a long drive from San Francisco. When we booked the room earlier that day, we had been told by the reservations clerk to pick up a coupon book from the Denny's across the street before checking in to save about $10. We were also told that the hotel was practically empty with lots of rooms available. So, we bring the coupon book into the hotel to check in and we're told that the coupon is not honoured when one reserves a room. It only apparently applies to walk in customers.
