First Rate

this was our first trip to "Amish country" and I delayed making a reservation when I realized how many choices there were. After finding my first four choices booked for Sept 19-21, I tried not to panic as i searched Trip Advisor for the review I had seen of Orchard Inn--whose name I had forgotten! My delight in securing a room the same day was somewhat dampened when no one we spoke with en route had ever heard of it. I am glad because they are small and we loved absolutely everything about it!! Orchard Inn is tucked away about 1/2 mile from Old Philadelphia Pike on s. Harvest Road. (I kept getting Orchard Inn/ Harvest Road and Harvest Inn mixed up). There is a tasteful sign at the intersection which happens to be directly across from Kaufmann's Country Store--a find in itself. Imagine our surprise to find apple and peach orchards directly behind our room--and to see the tractors coming to get the produce which then could ... chosenspot, a user of Tripadvisor. 2 days of peace and quiet in "Amish Paradise

We just got back from the best kept secret in Pennsylvania. The Orchard Inn is definitely a keeper. Average Motel - Friendly Staff - Nice Location

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel based on the review here at Trip Advisor. We had stayed at the Amish View several times, but it was just too expensive (and there are lots of other things to spend your money on in the area!). For the price of 1 night at the Amish View, we stayed 3 nights at the Orchard Inn. The motel is a typical, single story roadside motel.
