Not the place for us
The Smithton Inn is beautiful. It is old and nicely restored. Beautiful flowers abound. Location is wonderful in the Amish county. We awakened most mornings to the clip clop of buggies going past the Inn. Check-in is at 3:30...do not show up a minute early or you will be ignored until 3:30. A Complete Miss on Hospitality
While the rooms are clean and well maintained, the service we received by the Innkeeper was terrible. Mixed Bag
A very nice structure which needs the warmth of a congenial hostess to bring it to life. Unfortunately, you end up feeling you are putting the hostess out or bothering her when you ask her anything. What a great getaway! Go in the summer and you will get to see the Inn Keepers beautiful Dinner Plate Dahlias bursting forth color from the front yard. They are georgous!
