My Husband and I stayed at the Chestnut Hill Hotel the weekend of Sept. 8th. The exterior of the hotel is very charming and so is the surrounding area. I stayed at the Chestnut Hill Hotel while attending a conference at LaSalle University. I loved it! It has many nice stores, restaurants and bakeries nearby and felt like a very safe area. Chestnut Hill is about 9 miles north of downtown Philly and is very accessible on the regional railways - each station only about 4 blocks from the hotel. Liked the hotel but the street noise prevented us from getting a decent nights sleep. The room was a good size, clean and nicely furnished. Staff was friendly and helpful.
