A good choice of hotel restaurants.The room guest book had a very good historic story of the hotel and of Yorktown. Yorktowne Hotel - Nestled in the Heart of the City
This is a very old hotel and probably one of the nicest in York. The decor is rustic and the service is great. The hotel bar (Autographs) is very nice. Not my favorite...
I booked an overnight stay at the Yorktowne because I am partial to the Historic Hotels of America, and like to stay at these establishments whenever I can. I understand that this is a historic hotel but I really expected the rooms to be better maintained. The lobby is really pretty with the original wood panels and beautiful lights.
