Beautiful location, ugly experience

We tried to book our wedding there, and after wasting three weeks dealing with their utter incompetence and rudeness, we decided to book elsewhere. The Chanler is lovely to look at, but it's a nightmare to deal with, and I would NOT recommend it to anyone!

Great rooms, but no service

A beautiful property and definitely one of Newport's jewels. We have stayed there before and we really like the location and the luxurious rooms. If only the service would improve. Absolutely Beautiful!

Absolutely Beautiful! The room was absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the Peonies and Ivy Room. When we arrived the staff was very pleasant, brought us through a garden walk way to our private entrance of our room. It was a perfect weekend with weather and a perfect location. Boutique hotel in prime location on the water at one end of Cliff Walk -- gorgeous rooms and great concept. But they need to get their act together.
