Comfort - at a price!!!
Large hotel, centrally located with all the extras - pool, exercise room etc. This hotel is not cheap but it has more character than a lot of the chain hotels and has pretty much everything you could ask for. The Best Place to stay in Newport!
Aside from the historical value of the hotel, its obviously superior location to virtually everything Newport has to offer, the upgrades to the Viking Hotel over the years clearly show! Overrated
Stayed here four nights for a business conference. The location is good, and the common areas are nice. The room (number 10xx) was below expectation: the hallway leading to the room smelled of mildew; the TV was old and the remote-control buttons worn off. From Theodore Francis Green State Airport: Take I-95 South to Exit 9 (Route 4). Follow signs to Newport Bridge to Exit 288. Turn right at Thames exit. Turn left on Touro. Touro becomes Bellevue Ave. The hotel is located on the right.
