Guadalupe River Tubing

We just came back last week, from our first trip, tubing the Guadalupe River in Canyon Lake, Texas. We stayed at Maricopa's Riverside Lodge, the last weekend in June ( "celebrated" 4th of July weekend) The weather had been flooding in the area due to heavy rainfall, and the forecast called for more flooding and storms but we went anyway. It was AWESOME! The lodge had been completely booked, but people started cancelling because of the weather reports. Sorry folks, but ya'll missed out. We tubed the river not once but twice in one day. It didn't rain ONCE. Maricopa's is a very clean & quiet, moderately priced hotel, right on the banks ... MeAMeandering, a user of Tripadvisor. A Great Family resort, especially if you are an RV er

Overview: The property is located 13 miles west of I 35 on hwy 308 in the heart of Texas tubing country. It was originally built as an RV park and the motel and cottages were added in the 60's. It is on 25+ acres with an indoor and outdoor pool. The location abuts the highway only at the entrance with the property going away from the highway.
