For anyone with high standards, this hotel will likely disappoint. Though, to be fair, if you have high standards, Galveston as a whole will likely disappoint. Much of Galveston is run-down. This hotel appeared to be one of the better properties on the island, though it isn't up to the standards that Hilton seems to keep at its other properties. I stayed here two nights on business, and the choice of hotel was made by a company booking agent. Overall the interior of the hotel reminds me of college spring break trips to places like Daytona Beach and Panama City. The hall carpeting is heavily worn and regularly stained.
