Overall the hotel was very elegant and gave a great sense of historic Galveston. Our room was extremely comfortable, and the staff attentive. I recommend eating at the hotel's restraunt as all the food which we ordered was excellent. During my stay I only experienced one problem, after check in... By A Yahoo! Posh Downtown Hotel

The Tremont House is conveniently and wisely located a block or so away from the Strand, which runs along the waterfront area. We took a peek at its lobby and snapped a few pictures. After reading about joining Wyndham By Request a few years ago, I try to book a room at a Wyndham about once a year. I was hesitant to reserve a room here for only $89 (prepaid web rate).
