The Tremont House is conveniently and wisely located a block or so away from the Strand, which runs along the waterfront area. We took a peek at its lobby and snapped a few pictures. Most Elegant room we ever stayed in!

After reading about joining Wyndham By Request a few years ago, I try to book a room at a Wyndham about once a year. I was hesitant to reserve a room here for only $89 (prepaid web rate). I mean, everything else in Galveston seemed so much more expensive - there obviously had to be something wrong with it. Well, there wasn't. It was the nicest stay we have ever had.
