To Expedia's credit they did get on the phone and find us a suitable hotel that fortunately was 100% better than Value place which I was dreading anyway, and was 100% more in price as well. more on TripAdvisor

Even so, that weekend VALUE PLACE was the ONLY hotel available this particular weekend. more on TripAdvisor

They said they had CANCELLED our reservation since they are an extended stay hotel and their current occupants have precedent over new ones coming in. more on TripAdvisor
