This hotel is a landmark of the remote town of Marfa. Built by famous hotelier Charles Basset, it opened its doors to the public in 1930. For years, the place was known for accommodating ranchers and hosting wedding receptions and proms. In 1955, the film 'Giant' was filmed here. Since then, it has become a veritable tourist stop for the movie's fans. Visit the hotel and you might get a chance to stay in the room of James Dean, Rock Hudson or Elizabeth Taylor.
