4.0: Nice Rooms, Friendly Hostess but some things Need Improvement

We needed accommodations somewhere between the Arches and the Grand Canyon North Rim. The location of Bluff was perfect since it would be between Four Corners and Monument Valley, places we will be visiting the following day. I tried Kokopelli Inn which did not have queen beds and Desert Rose which was way over our budget. I found Decker House (previously known as the Pioneer House) while searching in Trip Advisor. We reserved the "Bluff" room for 1 night for our party of 5 adults. It would be perfect as the unit had 1 queen, 1 double and 1 twin bed. The fee would be $99, not including tax. This would include breakfast. It sounded like a good deal. Reservation process: Easy to do on their website. I used a credit card. Well now-I must be brave!-its 6 months now since our very dissapointing stay at Decker House. It looked lovely on the web site so I booked the best and most expensive room.Totally agree with the last reviewer-the outside of the house is scruffy ... pux, a user of Tripadvisor. 3.0: Don't look for a Decker House sign, it's called Pioneer House!

My wife and I stayed at Decker House 23 & 24 September during our three week "Grand Circle" tour. We found our stay here was fine, although I did think the area outside around the house does need some work. We stayed at the Decker House in November which is a beautiful time to be in the Desert, although the nights are very cold. We thought the house was wonderful; especially for the prices that they offer. We rented 2 rooms, the Bluff and Anna Maries Parlor. We thought the rooms ...
