Good value, unassuming exterior

We used Grand Staircase Inn (GSI) as a base to explore Bryce National Park. The commute was about 20 minutes. As mentioned in other reviews, the outside of the GSI does not evoke confidence. Decent Lodging for Bryce Canyon/Hwy 12 Tour

My family stayed at Grand Staircase Inn in Mid June while touring Bryce Canyon and heading west on Scenic Hwy 12. Like other reviews "it aint much to look at" on the outside, but we were very pleased with the quality of the rooms, and the price was very good. Nice Experience

The motel looks like a place you might not want to stay BUT give it a try. The rooms are clean, quiet, freshly painted or recently remodeled, bed comfortable, bathroom very nice. Just west of Bryce Canyon National Park, Cannonville is one of those small towns you would usually drive through en route to, well, just about anywhere else. We had booked this motel in Cannonville because it was one of the few with available rooms on short notice for the Memorial Day weekend at Bryce Canyon.
