Situated in Southeastern Utah over the Colorado River, Moab is a natural tourist destination because of its beautiful outdoor scenery and available recreational opportunities. Its public lands are not only used for grazing and forestry, it is used for recreational activities such as rafting, biking, hiking, and rock climbing as well.
Moab is also the selected location of the semi-annual Jeep Safari; this event includes wild rides over difficult challenges. You can go 4-wheeling over trails that stretch outside the city. Take note that these trails range from easy to difficult.
On the other hand, its location along Colorado River also makes Moab the perfect place to go river rafting. The most popular option for tourists is the one day trip on the "Moab Daily" on the Fisher Towers section. The Moab Daily is perfect for families looking for fun and excitement.
