Fodor's New England calls The Four Chimneys ""one of the best inns in Vermont,"" and the owners and hosts, a married couple, do a wonderful job of living up to this lavish praise. Each of the eleven rooms boasts a private bath, air conditioning, satellite and cable TV with DVD player, high-speed internet, and air conditioning in summer. Full breakfast is included, and in the evenings the restaurant is open to the public for first-rate dinners. In spite of it all, the rates are surprisingly reasonable, particularly off-peak.
