The notion that one would be exposed to Vanderbilt type accommodations is what sells this location.
It is poorly maintained - The public bathroom had a towel around the base of the toilet to prevent leakage.

An era of elegance
Politics aside the inn was everything I had fantasized about and more. From the warm welcoming staff to the multitude of pillows plumping my bed, nothing could have been better. The food was excellent, though dinner was a bit pricey for the amount on the dish. It only whetted my appetite.
