Great for Horse Lovers! (Clean and nice too!)
Wow - the person who created the website for this hotel deserves an award! While all of the photos and information are accurate - it does present a more sophisticated feel than the Refuge Inn actually presents! BUT - that was great for us, and really fits much better with the feel - and the activities - of Chincoteague Island. If you want a stuffy, fancy hotel where everyone is dressed up, then this is not for you. BUT, if you want to feel comfortable - while also enjoying a recently updated, fully furnished room - then the Refuge Inn is for you! My daughter cried as we left. FROM ROUTE 13, FOLLOW ROUTE 175 TO CHINCOTEAGUE ISLAND. AFTER CROSSING THE BRIDGE TO THE ISLAND, TURN LEFT ONTO MAIN STREET. THEN TURN RIGHT ONTO MADDOX BLVD. THE INN IS LOCATED JUST BEFORE THE ASSATEAGUE BRIDGE AT 7058 MADDOX BLVD.
