Confirmed & prepaid reservation not honored- family put on street

I booked the hotel through their own website last October. My reservation indicates that we are 2 adults and 2 children- the only room offered to that size party is the 2 queen room. Nice and quiet for the location but not as clean as I'd like
This was a one-night stay so we could comfortably take in a concert at Wolf Trap without a late-night drive home. Extremely convienent for this purpose. The area around the hotel is extremely quiet on the weekend and parking was free ($5 charged Sun-Thu). I found the desk staff fairly indifferent... PlansAhead, a user of Tripadvisor.
