Less than stellar on-site service keeps lovely Inn from being a winner

Traveling for business, one gets a jaded view of cookie cutter chain hotels. That being the case we booked a bit off the beaten path (really only about 10 minutes outside of "downtown" Washington, D.C.), at this newly restored and tastefully appointed Victorian home. Reservations and check in were easy and innkeepers communicated well via e-mail. The rooms were large and decorated with quality linens, throw pillows, etc. The "some problems" with this place, really lay more in the service end, than having to do with the physical accommodations themselves, (although, in many rooms we saw, beds were all "full" rather than the "queen" size which has become the standard at most hotels and ins today). Nice B & B
