great place to go for a romantic weekend. stunning views and charming old hotel. if you don't mind leaving the lap of luxury for a night or two it's a great place to go for a getaway. wouldn't recommend making a whole vacation about it, but it's an easy jaunt ... The view was phenomenal
A few years ago, we tried to book a room at the Hilltop House Hotel in Harpers Ferry. There was nothing available. Recently, when we found ourselves with three nights to travel, we called and were told that they had a couple of rooms for $75 or $85 and one room with a jacuzzi and view for $155. Charmingly simplistic
I find the Hilltop House to be charmingly simplistic. Although, the hotel lacks certain amenities found at other hotels, it is a true treasure.
