Very average hotel at a high price, not a good value unless you have a convention rate. Quirky layout; two towers separated across a block long lobby. 5.0: Wonderful time in Appleton

We were in Appleton to visit Lawrence University. Didn't know where to stay and was going to stay out by the mall. Lawrence suggested the Raddison and we had a delightful stay on the concierge level. Dined at Lombardi's on very busy night in December. The service was impeccable, very helpful on selection of wine. Presentation out of this world. I've stayed twice at the Radisson Paper Valley, and both times the hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the restaurants aren't bad (although there are a number of great restaurants for dinner just down the block -- I'd recommend them more).
