Wonderful Stay at the Bayfield Inn

We stayed at the Bayfield in for a week (Sept 15 - Sept 21) with another couple and we had separate rooms. Both rooms were facing Lake Superior / Madeline Island with ours on the 2nd floor and the other on the 1st floor. The Bayfield Inn is a wonderful surprise!

This locally owned and operated Inn was fairly full, but they did have rooms available in their guest house when we contacted them the day prior to going there. It is located right beside Lake Superior, steps from the Ferry that goes to Madeline Island, and right next to the boats that take excursions to the Apostle Islands. The view from the Inn itself is lovely. Check in went smoothly, and the staff at the front desk was pleasant and very helpful. Our room was extremely clean. It is incredible to see how they were able to transform an old home into four guest suites. Two are on the main floor, one on top, and one below. Ours was number two, which is in the back of the guest house. It is a large room that has a king sized bed (extremely comfortable with a cozy faux down comforter due to people having allergies), a sleeper sofa, a small table with two chairs, and a large television.
