I am frankly confused by the negative reviews posted here--I have stayed at the Lowell Center twice, most recently in October 2005, and found the staff helpful, the rooms just fine, the breakfast varied (admittedly high in the saturated fat department, but there is yogurt and juice available as well) and the broadband connection in my room worked like a charm. more on Yahoo! We have stayed at the Lowell Ctr for ~16 nights/year for the past 5 years. Its is excellent - our hotel of choice. If you have a UW function there is not a better place to stay. We can not say enough ... more on TripAdvisor

Close to every UW building this tired old hotel needs updating in a big way. Carpets are stained, bathrooms tiny with old fixtures, tiny showers and poor lighting. Breakfast included heavy on carbs, no protein. Staff at front desk ... more on Yahoo! Travel
