Expensive with few amenities and no courtesy

Very sub-par experience

For Valentine's Day, my husband and I wanted to drive somewhere nearby for some skiing and romance. We elected to visit the Snowy Range Ski Resort outside Centennial, WY, and chose the Old Corral Hotel and Steakhouse for lodging, mostly because of its impressive website. A phone call to book the room assured me that this was a "big weekend" for them, being Valentine's weekend and all. When we arrived, we were checked in by a teen-age girl who seemed to just barely know what she was doing. Here's a summary of the unpleasantness we experienced at this establishment: Unruly kids running up and down hallways and slamming doors. The much-touted game room with two pool tables, ... Best Hotel in Town

I have stayed at this hotel twice--in March 2003 and February 2004. I was quite surprised to see such a negative review from a Colorado guest. Both of my stays were very enjoyable. The skiing at Snowy Range is usually quite good, but you mustn't expect a mountain of the size and quality of, say, Jackson Hole. Therefore, it should be no surprise that the only hotel ...
