Gillete, which is located on the northeast corner of
Wyoming, is bounded by the South Dakota’s Black Hills and Wyoming’s own Big
Horn Mountains. Travelers from Gillette can easily access major tourist
attractions, such as the Yellowstone Park, which is 350 miles to the west and
the Devils Tower, which is 60 miles to the east. Farther east, about 150 miles
from Gillette, the travelers can reach Mount Rushmore. Due to its unique
location, Gillette has turned into a tourist hub. Thus, numerous Gillette
hotels and Gillette inns were constructed. And within Gillette, there are many
things to do for the travelers. The travelers can join the tour in the Coal
Mine or visit the Rockpile Museum.
Both of these activities will be eye-openers and the travelers will discover
something interesting in American history and will have a glimpse on how it was
when the early Americans were building railroads, ranching, and homesteading. Then,
if the Gillette vacation is a family affair, the recommended places to go are
the City Swimming Pool,
the Country Pool and Waterslide, the Planetarium,
and the Einstein Adventurarium. Admission is free in the city pool and the kids
will experience a hands-on science adventure at the adventurarium. For a unique
fun activity for the whole family, there is the game called disc golf.
