Stay for the History, not comfort

Great Location, Dingy, Filthy Rooms
The Old Faithful Inn lobby and nearby amenities are nice but the two rooms we had were filthy and worn. The carpet was torn and dirty and coming up in one room and the carpet in both rooms and the hallway should have been replaced long ago. Worth small inconveniences to stay at this historical inn
My wife, late-teens daughter and I stayed at the Old Faithful Inn in early July 2007. We had a "premium" room with two double beds and private bath in the East Wing. Our room was about $200 for three people. I wouldn't, and didn't, come here expecting a five-star experience. It's a National Park property run by a profit-oriented concessionaire that hires college kids for most positions. The property is over 100 years old and, while it has been well-maintained and improved over the years, you don't expect luxury. Just awful!
